Born in Shankill, County Dublin, as the snow melted after the long hard winter of 1963. After a scenic route through College involving sojourns at the University of Maine in the USA and the University of Venice in Italy I emerged with degrees in Architecture and Planning from University College Dublin in the mid 1990’s. I lectured in urban planning at the Dublin Institute of Technology, Bolton Street before my election to the Dáil in May 2002. I have 2 young children, and I’m a keen cyclist. In the distant past I rode my bike coast-to coast-across the United States. I’m the Irish Green Party’s Spokesperson on Foreign Affairs, Justice and Transport issues, and I’m a member of the Environment, and Climate Change Committees in the 30th Dáil. I was one of the first to call for a modern tram system for Dublin in 1991, and look forward taking a seat on one of the first Luas trams to Cherrywood in 2009. Now let's extend to Bray.

Jesus Ciaran.
You sit on his benches and that's the only thing you can say? How about something more considered?
Also, John G. being there and Mary H. not being there looks bad, in my view.
I fully support and back what Deputy Cuffe has to say. It's spot on.
Eh.., I believe Mary was there, but isn't as tall as John and consequently didn't make the doughnut
(Eh, which Mary: Harney, Hanafin or Coughlan? I didn't see any of them.)
All three were there, as far as I can see from the Six One news
Everyone was there.
Thanks for the political insight. I'll have to consider what you've said.
is gormley puckering up?
he's in the green party right? that's a subsidiary of Fianna Fail since its acquisition of it in Election2007?
very hard to keep on top of all this politics malark
